Praline Sweet Potatoes

 

 

2 pounds sweet potatoes,
peeled, cooked and mashed
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
pepper, to taste
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 cup Chopped pecans, heaping


 

Beat sweet potatoes, milk, salt, pepper and egg together.
Spoon into a buttered 2 - 3 quart shallow casserole.

Combine sugar, butter and corn syrup and
spread on potatoes. Sprinkle pecans on top.

Bake in a 350 degree oven uncovered until set,
about 40 to 50 minutes

serves 6 - 8
