Blackberry Cobbler

 

 

1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
dash salt
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 cups fresh blackberries or 2 10oz packages frozen blackberries, thawed

 
Pour butter into a 11 x 17 inch baking dish. Set aside. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; stir well. Add milk and vanilla; stir until blended. Spoon batter into dish (do not stir) sprinkle with blackberries (do not stir). Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until golden. Serve warm.
