Christmas Scent

 

 

1/4 cup whole cloves
3 sticks cinnamon, about 3 inches each
3 bay leaves
1 quart water
1/2 lemon, halved
1/2 orange, halved

 

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered as long as desired, adding water as needed. Mixture may be stored in the refrigerator for several days and reused.
